Jeff Williams' life is one of integrity, hard work, family, conservatism and education.
After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Jeff moved to Houston in 1979. He attended law school at South Texas College of Law in downtown Houston; the heart of the legal community, and law clerked for the respected J. Edwin Smith while studying at STCL. Jeff graduated in 1981 and began his legal career in Houston.
Jeff is a lifelong Conservative. He has volunteered to work on many conservative campaigns; served as the Republican Chairman and Election Judge for precinct 625 for the last 4 years; and has been a delegate to Republican conventions.
Having been self employed since 1984 in a general civil practice, Jeff understands the needs of businessmen. On legal cases, he has worked with both landlords and tenants, contracts and matters of negligence.

Jeff is also an Active Duty Captain in the Texas State Guard, serving as a JAG officer in the Headquarters Unit at Camp Mabry in Austin. He has volunteered to write wills and powers of attorney for deploying Texas Army National Guard troops and has volunteered to serve at the Wings over Houston aviation event. As a Justice of the Peace, Jeff will rule strictly according to the law regardless of race, nationality, accents, religion or political party. His education and life experiences make him eminently qualified to serve on the bench.
Jeff feels it is important to give back to his community, recently riding in the 2009 BP MS 150 bicycle race. The "150" is an annual charity bike ride from Houston to Austin. The event is to raise funds to help patients suffering from Multiple Sclerosis.

Jeff and Rita Williams are longtime residents of Houston, and have two sons, David and Justin. David is in his high school band, and both sons are in scouting. David is now a Life Scout working on his Eagle project. Jeff is an Assistant Scoutmaster with the troop and Rita is a Den Leader in the Pack. Jeff is a Life Scout himself.
Rita speaks fluent Spanish and Jeff is conversant in Spanish.
Jeff is active in his synagogue of Reform Judaism, while often attending church at St Cyrils with his wife Rita Williams. The Williams family celebrates both Christmas and Chanukah.
